TULIQI’s flagship store is located in downtown Anchorage in a neighborhood of art galleries, boutiques and restaurants enjoyed by locals and visitors alike. The TULIQI store, located in Anchorage’s oldest concrete structure, won the 2005 Heart of Downtown Anchorage award for best building renovation.

The store exterior, with its blend of natural wood and corrugated roofing iron, is influenced by New Zealand architectural trends adapted for an Alaskan climate. The store’s interior contrasts warm ash and red birch shelving against an original 1920’s concrete wall discovered by the company owner and her architect as they tore out old drywall. Above the counter a “chandelier” of halogen bulbs each wrapped in paper shades suggests the feel of birds in flight – the tuli on their annual migration.
